Made with VHS’s Laser cutter. 96 small triangles, 36 medium triangles, 9 large triangles. It took about 5 hours to assemble with Zap straps. I used a 4x8 Sheet of 3mm birch plywood and 250+ Zap straps. The idea came/copied from this burning man project form 2013 Fractal Cult – WeWantToLearn.net
Made with the VHS laser cutter. I will be using a Arduino Leonardo to make these buttons into a midi controller. This midi controller will be used with Open Sound Control to control the LEDS and lighting effects on the outside of my dome project (Pocket Universe). I am waiting on my order of micro switches from aliexpress
I got a message on another social site about the arcade button midi controller and they pointed me to this project. Just incase anyone else feels like they want to start yet another project.
Made with the VHS laser cutter, This is a the Untztrument trellis midi kit from Adafruit that I picked up during @miststlkrgroup buy. I still need to put a brain in it and wire up the LEDS but it looks and feels pretty awesome. This is another midi controller like the arcade button one from day 3. I will be using it to control the lighting effects on the dome wirelessly. This controllers is for me while the arcade button one is for everyone else. #laser#lasercutter#acrylic#buttons#arduino
First one in a series of monsters that I scanned and copied from a monster picture book. Cut on the VHS laser cutter out of acrylic. I did not design this, I copied and converted this from a scan of a dead tree book into a vector using the method I used in the stencil workshop.

First attempts at the Fairy doors for the upcoming Fairy door workshop at VHS. I kind of like the round hobbit door but the other two are rejects. I am hoping to have about 5 different door designs for people to choose from. Back to the drawing board.
This is a test cut for one of the panels of the pocket universe dome. I like this one and it seem to hold together well. #laser#lasercutter#wood#sculpture#geometry These panels will be cut 6 feet tall on the Shopbot at Maker labs. I am doing test cut on VHS’s laser first to find the ones I like.
This is another test cut of the panels of the pocket universe dome. I like this one too and I am excited to see what this one will look like full size.
These are some rejected designs for the pocket universe dome. The one of the left is too flimsy. The top and right one are boring. The bottom one is interesting but just didn’t make the cut.
