Another test cut for the for the Pocket Universe panels. Made in wood with VHS’s laser cutter. I like this one a lot and it definitely made the cut. This design was done for this project by @Adam_Barlev
Another test cut of panels for the Pocket Universe project. This one is done in paper because I ran out of wood. This design was done for this project by @Adam_Barlev. Thank you !
Another test cut for the fairy door NSG project. I like this design over the ones that I made in day 9. It still needs more work but its getting there.
A business card that I was working on an abandoned as it fine print on the “print print” sponsorship from Maker Faire and found it to be unreasonable. Sigh…
Spent the entire day at Maker Labs running in to constant problems with (My designs) but gone the first panel cut. I have a lot of updates to do to my other designs before I go back and cut the rest. Some of the detailed sections of this panel could not be cut with the router bit that I selected.
A massive 70cm laser cut of branches. This will be one of the centers of the “frame” style panels from day 30. This took a lot longer then I thought it would but looks great! .
Arcade button panel for the pocket universe dome project. Most of these buttons will be wired up to lighting/sound effects on the dome its self. Although it looks pretty, i will be dismantling this panel at the end of Maker Faire. The Arcade buttons are far too precious to leave in the panel.
The flower of life panel. I was doing my best to stay away from the hippy dippy stuff. When I asked for suggestions on what other types of panels to include this was by far the most suggested one. You gotta give the people what they want.
Cthulhu panel. I don’t like how big his head is. I wish i would have just outlined his head instead of cutting it out. If I get time this one will have a green rotating to purple glow behind it. It should look quite demonic.
7 panels done, 9 more to go. 8 days left before Maker Faire. I’m am full on panic mode. Gotta get it done.
“A failed test cut panel for the pocket universe project. This one is too flimsily to work. Rejected.” Rejected? use your mouse roller button, rolling it back and forth while looking at this picture and notice the queeziness setting in the pit of your stomach, lots of simple fun!
Things are starting to take shape. So far there has been no disastrous roadblocks that I have not been able to work around. I got 4 more panels to cut tomorrow then I start on the Lighting and sound.
Light is 20+, 5 meter, 32 pixels per meter WS2810 LED strings. ~3200 Individual addressable LEDS. Across ~10 Arduinos networked together over serial bus, controlled by a PC (not a Raspberry pi). After that comes wring and addressing the buttons to open sound control into a the PC that is running a sound effects system.
