That guy I used to date :wink: just managed to accidentally smash my jar of sourdough starter.

I know - the horror. #firstworldproblems I have a bowl with some dried dough in it from today’s bread batch. I’m sure I’ll be able to to Frankenstein-up a new batch of starter from it’s corpse.

I had some extra starter that I didn’t want to throw away so in added some flour, salt, green onion, and went through kneeding and proofing.

This is what I ended up with, freehand baking:

(Scale doesn’t show well, it is about 10cm in diameter)

I have to say I think the foccacia bread approach is my fav recipe. It also does not require a covered cast iron pan. Easy to make in a cookie sheet. I’m about to make another round. I let it rise/double overnight.

Time to fire up Frank (the new starter made from parts of the old one).
