Laser Training is coming up Thursday Dec 16th at 5:30 pm.

Training typically runs for about 2h, but we might overrun a bit. First time I’m giving this training :slight_smile:

This training is required to be able to use the laser cutter. We will go through safety, setup, and all the things you should know to get you started on your laser cutting journey.

Due to COVID-19, this event is limited to three students. Don’t worry if you miss this one, we will run more training in the future.

You can reserve a spot by replying to this post.

The cost of training is $30 which will go towards keeping the laser functional.

You can drop cash in the donation box, e-Transfer to directors@vanhack.ca, or make a donation via PayPal on Membership - Vancouver Hack Space.

I have sad news. This training is cancelled.

The laser cutter is out of service. See Laser Cutter Problem @TyIsI did some preliminary investigation this evening. Doesn’t look like something that will be fixed by tomorrow, unfortunately.

@ddq @jimmytgoody I will contact you as soon as we have an ETA for the repair to reschedule the training.

Really sorry about this. I was looking forward to run my first training session myself.

Bummer but thanks for letting us know, and for doing the training.

For me it was just a bonus that there was another session added before Christmas as I had assumed I would have to wait for the new year.

Looking forward to it still, whenever it happens!
