I’m wondering if there’s any upcoming training sessions, for woodworking, CNC laser cutter, and/or welding.

In particular, will there be any training going on at today’s (Thur Jan 21, 2021) not-yet-keyholder members time slot?

Due to covid restrictions, our training sessions have become more one-on-one, so post on the #laser Slack channel to schedule some training with someone.

I’m not sure how we’re currently doing training in the wood shop, but post in the #woodworking slack channel to find out more info.

The woodshop has been pretty lax about training, partly because the woodshop really started taking shape as covid got underway. The woodshop is currently undergoing a major facelift, and will soon be getting a very very nice table saw (there’s also a very nice new mitre saw and a newly built rotating sanding cabinet out of the green Hornet’s garage). The woodshop committee is currently working on organizing proper training sessions for our various tools (spoiler: everyone will need to get trained to use the new table saw), more info will be posted once the construction is done and the table saw is in.
