sorry for such a lame query but i’ve had a broken xbox 360 (red ring of death) for a few years now & haven’t missed it – but now we have a use for it.
has anyone done this repair? or know someone/where who can?

I haven’t done the repair but I did read a lot about it at one point. Have
you read any of the stuff online about fixing the RROD? You could
definitely do it at the space.

I’ve had 3 RRODs over the years and fixed them with the kit from team-xecuter.com. There is also an instructable (http://www.instructables.com/id/Fix-the-Red-Ring-of-Deathwithout-towels/) if you want to DIY.

The DIY looks good tho I don’t have some of those tools but I imagine the HS does?
On one of my first visits to 45 hastings, I brought my YLOD PlayStation and
about 6 of us took it apart reflowed the solder and got it running again.
Alas it only lasted about 3 weeks. Did it once more at the hackspace and
this time it only lasted only about a week. It was fun and convinced me to
join VHS but getting the ps3 working for such a short time with all the
effort did expended did not warrant a third try.
