Hello everybody. I need transparent material for light box, acrylic sheet would be best type. Wonder how can i buy better price of it? Full sheet or cut pieces. Just for some hobby projects.

For full sheets Polymershapes is the cheapest in town.

You can also check Urban Source for cheaper off cuts up on Main and 16th. I’ve noticed that the pieces have been getting a little bigger lately. Your mileage may vary!

Tried urban source, they only have narrow like eight inch wide. My need is 4x3 feet. I ll keep looking.
Ah bummer. I just checked my stash and I don’t have anything that big either. Sorry! I suspect Industrial Paints and Plastics will be as expensive or more than Polymer. I have seen them sell half sheets before, but that was a long time ago.

hello @Tony8915, if your still looking, I just snagged a bunch of large pieces from the recycling behind associated plastics, the prices aren’t bad inside the store either. I got a 15 x 15 x 1/4" sheet for 18 bucks. good luck

Thank you for info. I checked associate before too. The price still high for me. Didn’t know they have scrap bin. 15 " squre is not enough for my sign size, but i have to try glue them together for larger. I ll definitely go for look.
15" square i have, just too small for my project. And associate plastic only had small scrap, i saw.
