What happened to plans of the VHS-ARC Weekly Net?
I think right now people are just taking part in the VECTOR net on
Wednesdays. Once I get my license ( hopefully this December, thanks to
Farrell’s radio course ) I’d be happy to help set up a VHS-ARC Weekly
Net.
With the upcoming move, dependent on the new space, we hope to have the net up and running in the new year!

Hey guys.
I’m planning on being at the hackspace tonight with a used yaesu ft-8800. I bought it used really cheap with the knowledge that it doesn’t turn on. I’m hoping someone might be interested in helping me possibly diagnose the problem. Hopefully it’s something simple? Anyway, possibly a fun project?

Have you plugged it into a 12v source to see if it delivers any error message, as I believe that unit should have a self check when turned on.

If we end up doing a net operator rotation I would glad to assist as I have completed net control training at vector.
Not yet. Was going to try it tonight as I don’t have a 12v source. Anyway, I was told that there is no power at all so I doubt that would help.
