I’ve created a new thing:
The VHS Pre-Free-Shelf
Why:
VHS accumulates stuff faster than we get rid of stuff. This has made the space very cluttered in a way that’s sub-awesome. This is intended to make it easier to get rid of stuff, especially for people who are new to the space and maybe less sure about what can be gotten rid of and what should stay.
What:
A bin. Maybe later a shelf.
How:
To use, put today’s date on an item, put it in the bin. If the item is still in the bin in two weeks, it can leave VHS.
If you see something in the bin that should stay at VHS, take it out and put it away.
When:
Now! I am proposing we try this for 1 month, and then I will ask for feedback on how it’s going and if it should continue it.
I will also post a photo here of the contents of the bin every time I’m at the space, so that people who make it to VHS less often can raise objections to getting rid of things if needed.
