Another day, another equipment review, this time for soldering irons. Please chime in on whether to keep, repair or toss.
-
3 30W cheap non-adjustable soldering irons.
-
1 40W Weller non-temperature adjustable soldering iron. (It has a pot, but is not a true temperature adjustable iron)
-
1 Pace ST-25 solder station. Missing its iron
-
1 broken Weller 921ZX solder station. The iron heats up but it never reaches the set temperature.
I’m thinking the non-adjustable irons are no longer needed since we have the knockoff 936 units for potentially damaging work. The broken Weller doesn’t seem worth repairing, either.
