This is my second entry into the VESTIGIAL contest!
I’ve found that it’s confusing and inefficient to put an Out Of Order sign on the laser when only one laser head needs cleaning and the rest are fine, so I came up with a solution for that! If there’s something wrong with the laser that needs fixing beyond the laserheads, we can flip the top status to out of order, and if only one lens is in need of cleaning or something, we can flip that lens to out of order and the rest will still be good to go.
I did learn that engraving large deep swaths of space with the deep cut laserhead is very quick and useful, but also messy. I cleaned it up and the lens is at the top of that laserhead so it should be fine, but I did let the LCC know, just in case it needs cleaning.
The inserts are double sided and stay in place when the lid is lifted off the Laser, and will be easy to replace if they run away (please don’t help them run away).
