You don’t want to do that one glass because that sudden shock is going to cause cracking. As he found out. Kapton tape though yeah works fine doing that.
Painters spatula’s are better then a putty knife. They are much thinner. Yes they bend but that’s good thing tells you your using it wrong. Your not supposed to use it to pry you just use the spatula to break the seal with the bed.
If your using PVA glue stick you can use water on a cold bed to dissolve the glue but you’ll need to carefully work it under the piece. Not the best idea to do this though with Nylon on a cold bed unless nothing else has worked. .
Also with PVA you can heat the bed up to about 100C and that makes it easier to peel the piece off. You can also do the same with ABS though much higher temp. No it won’t make the warping worse if you take it off before the bed has cooled.
