Talk stats for Oct 2014

Continuing the discussion from Stats of the old mailing list:

I plan to post the stats of the forums once a month. Normally I would post it on the first but I have a lot of spare time on my hands while waiting in an air port for the next 6 hours. I may update this post as I find other interesting stats to add to it.

This first image shows how many users are at each level.

They can get to trust level 1 by…

  • entering at least 5 topics
  • reading at least 30 posts
  • spend a total of 10 minutes reading posts

They can get to trust level 2 by…

  • visiting at least 15 days, not sequentially
  • casting at least 1 like
  • receiving at least 1 like
  • replying to at least 3 different topics
  • entering at least 20 topics
  • reading at least 100 posts
  • spend a total of 60 minutes reading posts

The following image shows how many posts have been made over the past 30 days. if you compare it to the stats of the old mailing list you will see that the forums is doing very well and better in some places.

One that surprised me the most was the ~153 user-to-user messages. People are using this system to talk privately between each other.
