Since we’ll be building a lot of kits in the next while I headed down last night to look over the soldering supplies. The irons look great (maybe someone has already gone through them?) and I made sure each one had an iron stand in there. Also - we’re pretty good for flux pens. I chucked a couple that were dead. We have tons of solder.
I could drop a few bucks on new brass sponges as we mostly have cellulose sponges but overall things look great.
The space was also hopping. I think we’re making good use of it.
Thanks Janet. Did you check desoldering braid? I bought some, put some of it out and some in the admin filing cabinet. Not sure what happened during the move.
Don’t think I’ve seen solder that fine as a typical VHS consumable. I have some .3, .6, and .8 mm. I’ll bring these on Piccolo night to share with anyone who needs some. If I make a Lee’s run I’ll pick up a roll of .5mm for the space.
There was a roll of 0.5mm the Bruce bought (might have his name on it) - was a blue spool I seem to recall. I have a spool I purchased myself to use for workshops but I don’t leave it at the space.
