Silica Gel in Vancouver?

Hi There,
Anybody knows where to find some (cheap) Silica Gel in Vancouver area?
I need 1Kg of Silica Gel
Better if indication type (the one that change color when saturated with water)
I’m looking online also but not much options for reasonable prices.

Thanks
Marco

Lee Valley carries something called “Flower Drying Silica Gel Crystals”

I’ve seen containers of them at DollarTree - there seems to be a few different kinds depending on the store. Some change colour. I bought some for use with my 3D printing filament inside a bigger container.

I’ll take a look at dollar tree store in my area
Which store did you by from?
Thanks

Marine supply stores.

For smaller amounts, I found a great hack a while ago. Go into the paint aisle at Home Depot. Every boxes of paint brushes has at least one pack of silica gel in it. Just tell the clerks what you’re doing and they’ll be fine with it.

Sorry for the slow reply…I’ve seen them at both Dollar Tree and Dollarama. Usually in the laundry/cleaning aisles.

I’ve been to 4 different dollar tree stores, nothing. Which one specifically did you go to?

I have a package or two of silica gel from work. huge packages. not sure if it’s a kg, but big as a bag of chips

I would love to have those two large bags. Thanks!

I’m planning on coming to the space this week, so i’ll see if I can bring them down.

If I don’t follow through, (I will follow through) uline.ca is also a great place to get it. anywhere from small gram bags to large drums.

unfortunately, the bag that I thought was silica gel is actually activated bentonite.

I would go through uline.ca. they have next day shipping.

Thanks @garble7, I have looked at uline in the past, but their smallest quantity is far too much for my needs.

@johnbiehler do you remember at which Dollar store you found them?

I’ve seen them everywhere at Dollarama & Dollartree. Port Coquitlam, Hastings Street, and a few places in between.

FYI it’s called the “Damp Trap” at Dollarama but I’ve seen different versions of them:
