Sew it again - Saturday, November 7th at 12:00pm - 2:00pm

What:
This course is all about transforming aging clothes into stylish new ones! Seize scissors, needle and thread with confidence and discover techniques and ideas to turn tired old clothes into custom made must-have items, without spending a cent. In recent years there has been a huge increase in popularity of making, altering and upcycling clothes.

For some this trend is due to a strong desire to live in a greener, more sustainable way. For others it has its roots in the aversion to throwaway mass-market clothing and the desire to own an original outfit. Whatever the reason is for you, it is definitely a way to save money and get a nice new item for yourself or a gift for your loved ones.

This course is designed for all who wish to learn techniques and tips on how to alter and reuse old clothes and all others that like to get together and have some fun.

It seems contradictory to me for the VHS to simultaneously claim to be an inclusive space and to require the use of Facebook. Yes, I personally still have a Faecesbook account but some persons still intentionally avoid using Faecesbook.

Incidentally: literally spending a cent may be difficult in Canada if you use cash.

This workshop is not run by me or a VHS member. I am bottom lining the event because I want to see it happen. If the host wants to use a 3rd party service for RSVPing i think that’s perfectly fine. I am sure that if you wanted to come you could contact her directly and she might make an exception for you.
