TLDR: still doesn’t work, and some how even worse
How it started:
The extruder was clicking on the second donated tinkerine.

I opened up the printer and noticed that the stepper motor driver had discoloration from heat.
I have since swapped out both the stepper driver and the motor with this one.
I have also turned up the amperage on the stepper driver to max.
I am still getting skipped steps on the extruder (the clicking). And when trying to print, the filament will start to under extrude a few minutes in, every time.
I have checked the current draw on the coil, it peaked at around 1.1A and mostly was around 900mA when running. This is within the the specs of the motor.
Right now, I suspect it may be an thermal issue, but it’s hard for me to investigate.
Unfortunately, the Y-axis developed a bit of a clicking of its own.
