Reflow Oven Loan

To help out the few people building their Mechaduino servo controllers I have left my toaster oven reflow oven at the space. It is on the right hand side of the right hand soldering bench.

Using it is pretty straight forward:
Turn it on (use the red “Power” switch on the right side)
Put your PCB on the alum tray inside it
Shut the door
Gently hit the Green Start button
It will start the reflow cycle
When it is done it will make a sound and the door will automatically open a crack
Wait for the temp to drop to 150C and you can then open the door the rest of the way and wait till it is cool enough to remove (100C)
The oven will have to cool to 50C before you can start another reflow cycle.
If you hit the red button it will give you some setup options so don’t do that
It is set for leaded solder (183C) and please don’t try to change it
If the screen doesn’t show the “Start reflow” massage then power cycle it

If you have questions ask… No hacking it please… No reheating of burritos either (less you feel you need more lead in your diet)

Controller details (and more detailed usage instructions) can be found here:

My Instructable on building the oven can be found here:

I’ll leave it at the Space for as long as people find it useful or until I need it back…

Amazing! Thanks for lending the SMD space oven to VHS for a bit.

@packetbob we have the money to buy one, lets talk.

Just a quick not that I am borrowing my Reflow Oven for a week or so…
If you need to use of it let me know and I will get it back quicker rather than later…

I am in the middle of building a dedicated one for the space and expect it to be finished in a few weeks…
