I had a guest in the space tonight, where we were doing some lasering for his art project. So I explained what a VHS minute is and we swept the floor in the corridor from the stairs to the work tables, put away some of the totes that were lying out on the east wall, put away some misc tools & electronics that were sitting on the tables, and checked that the barn door was secured properly (it wasn’t).
I told him it’s okay if you don’t always know where things go, as long as you put in a genuine effort to make things less chaotic than they were before. Then in the meantime, get in the habit of discussing the best practices with other users of the space. Hopefully he’ll be signing up for membership soon.
