Parts order

For low voltage switching tasks I like the PMOS SI2301 (also available SI2303/2309 for higher voltage), it has low Rds(on) and low Vgs(th) and is cheap and widely available. The classic jellybean NMOS is 2N7002, but they are quite old and have a rather high Rds(on) and Vgs(th) by today’s standards - super cheap though. I like the IRFML8244, its performance is much better and it is also widely available and fairly cheap.

Sounds good, I’ll add 10 to the order please.

@hectorh
I’ll take 10x of these also if you haven’t sent in the order yet…

Sorry, I made the order around 2pm. It is going ground $8 as I didn’t think any of you were in a rush to get the parts. I also sent them to Blaine and I’ll try my luck with Customs instead of paying a customs fee with the courier.

As for the IRFML8244, I’m going to order 100 for myself from AliExpress:

100x IRFML8244 on Aliexpress ( 0.12 each )

You are welcome to get some of mine when they arrive …

I also have in my AliExpress shopping cart:

200x SI2301
100x SI2309
200x MMBT3906
200x MMBT3904
30x PBSS4021NT,215 (these two are pricey, 0.18 each)
30x PBSS4021PT,215

And for fun I threw in one of these mixed bags:

10x 15 different SMT transistors

I doubt I’ll need all of those, so feel free to buy some from me, or if you want to get some for yourself let me know. I’ll make the AliExpress order on Thursday or so.

No worries…
Thanks for doing this…

Hector,

Thanks.

I’ll pass on the chinese parts, I try to keep the silicon in my parts drawers local (no special reason, just abundance of caution).

Cheers,
Tom

ps. $8 USPS to Blaine is super fast, takes 2 days in my experience. To Canada takes up to 3 weeks.
