Alright, another evening of packing the bunker!

I can’t make it tonight, but I did drop off 2 rolls of packing tape and a roll of masking tape. It’s between the garage door and the blue recycle can.

We had a low turnout for packing today. Just 5 of us @wander, @Janet, @Rob_MacKenzie, @ajvhs, @funvill. We need more people power to pack the space. There are so many small things that just need to be put in boxes.
Every nokia desk has been deconstructed and packed up.
Including the kitchen desk
The Admin desk
The shop desk
We packed up LED array. And plastic wrapped the rest some more pallets (Thank you @wander for bringing the plastic wrap)
There is still a TON of members materials and project stuff at VHS.
If you have any laser materials or, personal items at the space, You need to pick it up ASAP
At the next packing session anything that is not claimed will either be tossed out or claimed by VHS. Even if it has a name on it. YOU REALLY NEED TO PICK UP YOUR STUFF. SERIOUSLY TAKE IT HOME!!!
The next big packing project is the shop
We need
- Hard plastic or wood boxes to put shop tools in
- More people !!!
- People to pick up their materials !
- A pallet jack.

Am thinking of bringing a few milk crates and the kids by on Sunday to pack some of the small tools (unless am beaten to it).

Hey guys/gals, I noticed quite a few comments back that there was some back and fourth about a driver for the truck. My wife is (was) a bus driver and has a commercial license, I always get her to drive the moving truck when we need to haul something. If you need a hand let me know as she’s used to navigating a tour bus through Vancouver alleys.

I’ll be in on Sunday as well. We are still in need of heavy duty frogboxes/rubbermaid bins/other similar containers to pack the machine shop. Can anyone loan some of the move?

I see that the box with the lock is on top of the vending machine. I labelled it…DO NOT PACK.

C’mon keyholders, there’s at least two people willing to pack up the space and help VHS move.
One of you surely can open the space and pack for a few hours?
My cards were not dealt to me today in a way that made this possible. I do have 4 milk crates, will try to drop them by tomorrow.

If a keyholder is available, I can come in to help with some of the packing on Monday afternoon till 5pm. Text me at 778-683-4564 to let me know. Otherwise, I’ll come by on Tuesday.
Also, was the folding workbench (presumably still in its compact packaging) packed up already? It’s all right if that was the case. I just wanted to check that it had not been chucked out.

Question: when can we have the electronics recycling folks come by and clean out the recycling area? We could use the space to move completed pallets.
We REALLY need to borrow a pallet jack! Seriously, people are starting to injure themselves trying to move full pallets. If YOU have one you can loan the space for the duration of the move, please do so!
