Actually it IS running linux, just a pared down and customized variant
designed for use on mobile. Many standard commands work fine once your drop
to the cli.
Hey thanks @hjsvhsweb that is good to know about the linux. I wish modern phones were as well-made as this one. The N900 kinda shames them…although it is giant and also slow.
Yeah, but it had a number of issues, the USB charging port was always
breaking, luckily I didn’t suffer that fate with my N900, however I know a
number of people who have. There were serveral other issues that I’ve
forgotten about, though I do remember that was my first foray into the
Android world. I’d set it up for dual boot, Android was painfully slow and
crashed a lot, but it did work, at least most of the time.
Isn’t the broken USB charging port issue the same class of problem you had
with your Nexus device?
