Hi my name is Rachel and I’m a sculptor. I just joined to space and I was wondering how I go about being allowed to use the wood shop and metal shop. I am quite knowledgeable in wood shop machinery but I know very little in the metal shop equipment.

To request a slack invite:

Welcome!

VHS is the best, but it can be hard to coordinate getting approved on everything.

There’s two “metal” areas, welding and milling. The welding queen is @Metal_Janet, if that’s the area you meant. Find her on slack and here.

If you want a welding-fabrication shop orientation and/or lessons, let me know! For the machine shop, your best bet is to ask on the #machine-shop channel on Slack.
