Mini project: tire dolly

I wanted to make it easier to access/store/transport my winter wheel & tire set so I made a quick and dirty cart for them.

It’s just some 2x4s stuck together with pocket screws, and some cheap casters.

I made a slight oops while drilling which is why there are pocket holes on the outside.

Ugly, but it works. I might paint it… or not.

If you paint it, be sure to paint it the standard speed color of red with yellow pin stripes.

Probably doesn’t matter on this project but in case you didn’t know they do make pocket hole plugs for mistakes like this. You can also find dowel stock of the same size, glue them in, cut/sand them down flush. but realistically for something like this it’s probably good enough.

I have some of those plugs but didn’t care enough to add them.

As some random YouTuber said, the worst thing that can happen to a project is that it becomes useful before it is finished. Which is exactly why I never bothered to plug the oops holes or paint it.

Props to @Weas3l for digging up this post from a year ago though! :joy:

Not sure how that happened, it was top of my talk page!
