@Lincoln has a cool gate that he’s been reinforcing. The corners were thin and rusted though in spots.
I love that he left the rust and mildew on the gate, it adds a patina character to it.
We cleared some space on the welding table, and had fun welding the corners to angle iron to reinforce it.
After stabilizing it, we used the grinder to deburr our rough welds.
I started feeling much more comfortable with the welder, and enjoyed practicing on a practical project.
It was good fun.
