The Venue
The Gazometro of Rome, also known as the “industrial Colosseum,” was the great energy reservoir of the Capital: an icon of the Ostiense district, a giant cylindrical iron structure built in 1935 to supply gas to the entire city. A marvel of 20th-century technology that, for science fiction enthusiasts, might resemble an Asimov novel. However, history dictates that change is necessary to avoid demise, and indeed the Gazometro has never died. It has been transformed into a technological innovation district dedicated open to collaborations in applied industrial research, in synergy with the world of research and universities.
