Last night I was pew pew lasers on a project to make a laptop stand. I had modified a project from Thingiverse, but when I cut it nothing fit. Back to the drawing board…

Then @Shane stepped in and walked me through using OnShape to design it again from scratch. Fixing the flaws in the Thingiverse design and improving on it slightly.

Made to fit a 13" MacBook, but should work for most 13" laptops. I already assembled and gave it away, but I’ll try to steal a picture of the finished product later today.

Would be insanely easy to change support a 15" laptop :slight_smile: OnShape is awesome.

Big thanks to @Shane for helping me figure out more awesome features of OnShape, this software is awesome!

Would love to combine this with a cooling unit for mine.

Be nice to have a stand that folds up that small for my non-Mac laptop.

That’s a nice stand. My goal was to make something for the office, but we could probably OnShape that and 3D some of the parts to build it :smiley:
