Kamloops Makerspace

A group of people in Kamloops have started a Makerspace:

They now have a physical space. I thought we could donate some of our surplus equipment to them to help them get started. Bench-top power supply, some test equipment we don’t use, electronic components?

I get up that was often so don’t mind taking things up.

I think we may have already done exactly this? Maybe? I know they’ve visited VHS before.

AFAIK, we sent a carepackage to Fraser Valley Makerspace and prepared one for the Gibsons makerspace, but that last one never got picked up?

I think Ty is right… I don’t remember one bound for Kamloops

[/quote]I found that during the move, so it also got sent to Frasier Valley.

The benchtop power supplies are a (slow) source of revenue for us, so I’m not sure we should get rid of them.
For a just-starting makerspace, cheap cellphone chargers and such are fine for power supplies. We have a pile of old automotive multimeters that would also greatly benefit them but doesn’t really have much use for us. Maybe someone could curate some of them?

Unfortunately we purged a lot of our unneeded stuff during the move, so this is a little late for some good stuff :frowning:
