Is there a chance it might catch fire?
yup…
You can’t leave the VHS printers unattended.
For your own personal printer - probably not a good idea depending on the printer.
If it has a “made in China” cheap RAMPs board with sketchy components I wouldn’t leave the house while it is printing. On my scratch built Prusa i3’s I use a staticboards RAMPs and feel confident enough to leave it running for an hour while I am not home.
With my work we do have Prusa printers on 20hr print jobs. And there will
be more printers installed to run night and day.
We have our 3D printer areas clean and as a result we do not consider our
printers a fire hazard.
I have a monoprice select mini, and it’s in my apartment. So, I should always be present when it’s printing?
Some pieces take over 20 hours to print. Do I pause the print so I can go out? What’s the solution?
Thanks. I appreciate all of the answers.
