These could be 3D printed.
I also have a http://egg-bot.com/ if anyone wants to play with it. You can attach a dremel to it and cut the egg shell

I don’t think it would come out well on a 3D printer. The walls are too thin to support those kinds of overhangs and fine detailed features.
I’m not even sure if it would be possible to make in parts.
Buuuuuuuuuuut, maybe, MAYBE, you could make something interesting if you plotted a 2D design that folds into an egg shape. Use PLA and thermomolding around an egg to get the correct shape. Though, I suppose you would have to find an egg that matches the design dimensions. Hmmm now you’ve got me thinking…
