High quality carbon nylon 3D prints

Is this something VHS can do?

Need to rely on the strength in drone construction?

Recommendations for places able to do high quality carbon nylon 3D prints.

Depending on the application and design you might find that 3D printed parts aren’t stiff enough, which leads to excessive vibration and unpredictable behaviours that the flight controller can’t compensate for.

At least that’s the common advice on the internet. I’d be curious to see your design and hear how the printed parts work for you though, if it’s something you want to share!

I recommend Forge Labs. They are headquartered in Burnaby but have locations all around north america.

One of the things we are printing for the search and rescue medical deliver drone.

This is oversized assuming a imperfect 3D print.

We are currently 3D printing this part, but given its simple form. It is probably very easy to autoclave it with fabric. And hopefully cheaper too.

Much of the drone is modular and is an assemble of repeated components.

I think our biggest innovations may be in parts of the manufacturing process, so that it can be assemble with very tight clearances without high precision tools.

I am working on patents, so I can share everything in a month or two.
