Help with Raspberry Pi?

Hi Hack Space,

I’m looking for someone to help me programme a raspberry pi to get a barcode scanner to read custom barcodes, and get it to show up on a little led screen. I have all the necessary pieces (pi, scanner, screen), I just have no experience with pi’s at all. I could offer some money, though I really have no idea how much work this would be. Hi Greg,

Thanks for posting. Greg is from the VTL and has been facilitating some of our cross-collaboration. If there’s anyone who could help Greg out at this week’s open night, that might be a good avenue. Otherwise, I can help you out when I get back in a little more than a week when I get back in town.

What do you plan on having the scanner do? What kind of scanner do you have?
