I found this a few months ago in my building’s ewaste dumpster. A victim of the “yellow light of death”, it does not boot. It is also missing the hard drive cage. Date of manufacture is November 2006 meaning it should be fully backward compatible with PS2 games.
I’m interested. I have an EU PS2 game I want to boot up (I was one of the original developers), but have never actually seen the final shipped product. I wonder if the region lockout can be bypassed.
