@miststlkr was asking about smart bulbs and since I’ve been using them for a while, we decided to meet up and discuss the pros and cons. We’ll be at the space on Feb 7th sometime after 630 exchanging tips if anyone else wants to come share or learn.
Things I can talk about include smart lights (Hue, Life, Link, etc) smart plugs, hubs (Smartthings, Wink, etc.) protocols (Zwave, Zigbee, wifi, etc.) integrations (ifttt mostly), sensors and schedules (motion, door, time of day), “smart home” stupidness, suggestions for setups that make life better and ones that make life worse, and also lots of tech and setups that I’ve researched but haven’t personally tried…
This will be extremely casual, it’s a conversation, not a class. But I’d love to shake what experience I can.
