Don't toss me, bro

Hey all,

This was spotted in the 3-week electronics recycling recently:

No worries if someone thought they were clearing out old, broken equipment or anything, not trying to call anyone out

These are usually repairable, though! And quite expensive. Usually when good VHS equipment is broken, it’s best to try and fix it, or put a sign on it and make a thread on Talk saying that it’s broken. People won’t place blame, and someone will often step up to try and fix it.

This is has been a public service message brought to you by the letters P and Q. Carry on and keep doing cool stuff

Is it real Hakko or it is a Chinese knock off?

They’re real.

I had a look at it the other night. Still powers on and does heat up.
@jon has suggested to try a factory reset (holding down both buttons while
turning on). If anyone is in before me, feel free to give that a go.
Otherwise it might be something internal (prob also fixable).
