We can now use the projector above the craft table to trace and cut out sewing patterns (or whatever else you want to trace).
How to Use:
- Plug in the projector to the hanging outlet above the table. *Please note this part is probably not safe and we should probably find a different way to do this. It currently has to be this way, as you need to turn the lights off to be able to see the pattern well enough. And the original power source is connected to the light switch.
- Turn on the projector. The universal controller is in the box next to the heavy duty sewing machine. It is labelled.
- Attach computer/device to projector (may require a dongle). The cord is black and over by the rulers above the sewing table. It reaches to the craft table.
- Calibrate. You will need to download: Pattern Projector - this also has lots of great instructions on how to calibrate. The projector itself is as level and key stoned as it can be. Try to not move it
- Trace & Cut out pattern!
- Safely turn off the projector. Make sure that you turn it off (pressing the power button twice) and wait until the fan stops making noises before you unplug any power source. If you do not do this is can melt the machine.
Future Projects:
- Attach the projector to a different switch than the overhead lights. (Currently in progress/discussion).
- Make a little holder for the projectors controller
