Hey did another project over the weekend. Our couch cushion were falling apart so we decided to make some new covers for it.

@dbynoe and @Metal_Janet loaned the hackspace a beast of a sewing machine and we are going to take advantage. It has a walking foot, which means unlike a normal sewing machine which only pulls material from the bottom, a walking foot pulls both the top and the bottom of the material, perfect for sewing thick materials.

We grabbed some leather from Canadian mattress recycling, which take apart old couches are gives away the leather by donation. $10 and you can gets tons of large leather pieces.

We measure and sew the corner in so they become a box.

Then add elastic too the bottom so they stay on the cushion and is still easily removable.
