Buzzer system is broken/Limited building access

Hey all,

There is an issue with the buzzer system: it doesn’t seem to call out. Therefor, the whole access system is not working.

So, unless someone is at the space, or you tailgate in, chances are slim of actually getting into the building.

This might sound obvious, but if someone does get into the building, and into the space and switches on isvhsopen.com, then your best bet is to call the space from the front door and have open the door for you.

I already reported this issue to the building manager, but no updates yet.

I too could not get in the space yesterday. Any updates from the property manager?

Wasn’t there a request from another unit for Telus access around the same time this broke, seems like a good lead perhaps?

Update:

It appears the issue is not related to VHS’s hardware, but a problem with the building infrastructure.

Latest word is that the landlord will attempt to resolve the problem today.

Just checked, buzzer is still broken as of 3:15 PM.

Wouldn’t it be a good idea to have some keys as well?

My guess would be that Telus cut or otherwise disconnected the phone
line to the door buzzer control panel.

While I’ve had/have my issues with Telus, their technicians are usually
pretty skilled and wouldn’t make a rookie mistake like that.

Turns out it was a rookie mistake by Telus.

Apparently the intercom is working again, if someone is in the area give it a test and let us know.
