Attention: Roomba-ists of VHS

@packetbob kindly purchased a bunch of the IR emitter/receiver parts that are commonly used for Roomba repair. I’ll split them with @SteveRoy so a few of us can be “keepers of the parts”. If anyone needs to fix a roomba - let us know. It’s a fun little repair and very satisfying to keep a roomba running for only a few bucks in parts.

Thanks @packetbob

I thought it would be cool to have a Roomba fix it night. Maybe do a “meet up” and also a Craigslist ad to find people who want to fix their broken Roomba’s. Later in March??

Good idea. I’m in. And I have a few that I’ve been working on fixing.

Big problem with many of them is batteries going bad.

A 3rd party battery is around $48 +tax from a place in Burnaby, though any of the battery places around town should have them for a similar price.

I’m in for later in March - good idea @steveroy

Can we call it Roomba-rama? That would make me happy.

Roomba-Rama? Does that mean that to participate, we must own three roombas?
