Does anyone have any experience or recommendations regarding Arduino-compatible Bluetooth modules? I’d like to make a bluetooth media remote for my smartphone, but still have the audio play through the headphone jack. I’ve read that AVRCP is the media remote control protocol, and I’ve also read that it can only be used in conjunction with A2DP, the audio streaming protocol. But the official Bluetooth spec overview says that it may be used in concert with A2DP or VDP, so I think it might still work on its own. Of course it all depends on how the protocols are implemented on each device, so that’s partly why I’m asking around.
If anyone has seen a Bluetooth remote control that does not also receive the audio stream, and knows it to work on Android/iPhone/others, that is valuable information as well.
I know @Lukeo made a Bluetooth speaker using this Bluetooth receiver audio board, but that won’t work for me because I don’t want it to receive audio. I think @ninetynein had some small Bluetooth boards but I don’t know anything about them.
