I have been told that I should pre-program my radio for MURS channels 1-5.
Does anyone have the Baofeng Programming cable ?

Ham license or not, using an uncertified transceiver for MURS isn’t legal. I’d be surprised if there’s not some ham radio activity on the playa though, for which you can operate /W7
The Baofeng definitely isn’t legal for MURS use, but set the output to low power so it’s less than 2W and most folks won’t know!
If anyone does question it, act dumb… you’re not a ham. Apparently the fines are higher if you are a ham and knowingly operate equipment illegally!!!
