Please pardon my … can the large black extractable screen be installed on the wall above the couch and in place of the TV Set that currently is hanged on that wall? This would make a large picture projecting from the desk. This would require removing the TV Set. moving the book shelf with books and, most important, drilling two holes in the wall (cannot be undone in four hours). Am I permitted to do it?
I could bring my DLP projector that I am not using, if we could organize fun times with it as, I was told that the projector we currently have does not produce a nice picture.
I can’t speak for the holes in the wall but I think as long as they are done properly and are only for bolts it should be ok.
I’m curious as to where we’d move the TV? I like the idea of having a nice DLP projection. But the TV does have spotify and Youtube which is nice for quickly getting stuff on the screen. Although I think that is just done with chrome cast? so we could do the same with the projector as long as we get some decent sound setup as well.
I support the Projector of Damocles! As long as we can get some decent sound to go with it and find a nice home for the TV.
Maybe put the TV up just above the mirrors on the wall at the end of the long tables?
I almost feel it would make more sense to put the projector at the end of the long tables. Better viewing for large groups and such. The TV is a nice size for the “hang out” area. It would be to large to effectively play a console game that close to a screen. I know this because it’s presumably my screen that Yuri wants to mount
The wall space above the mirrors at the end of the long tables is a perfect place for the TV Set and the TV Set fits in it. Though, I thought the TV Set could be left untouched, if screen was installed on long pins to be in front, when extracted.
Mounting the screen above the mirrors at the end of long tables, I think would be great in terms of size, orientation and placement; though, sitting in front of DLP projector is highly hazardous as close contact with the lit lamp with your eyes can cause complete blindness. The DLP projector can be mounted upside down on on the ceiling; though, I do not have the special mount. It is ViewSonic PJD 6211 model, I am pretty sure.
Above mirrors is great place for the screen; though, close contact with DLP lit lamp and your eyes is very hazardous. It will certainly burn your retina. Mounting the projector upside down on the ceiling would reduce the risk. I am just concerned for when people will sit at the desks closer to the mirrors.
