3D Printer Software on solidworks computer

Just an update I installed a copy of Tinkerine’s slicer program onto the solidworks machine. Its faster then the 3d printer laptop so should help out with people needing to do multiple slicings. As well I installed a copy of Cura and created a setup for the Ditto Pro. It still needs some tweaking, as my last couple prints were over extruding. So make absolute sure you measure the filament and type that into the setup tab. A different of just 0.05mm will over/under extrude the amount by about 6%. Yes 6% at 0.1mm you are looking at almost 12% error.

FYI for 3mm filament a different of 0.1mm filament is ~7.5% error. One of the reasons I prefer 3mm.

I made a tweat on the tinkerine suite software. but ONLY on the solidworks computer version.

What some of you may have noticed is that at times when you have walls of certain thicknesses the top layers of the print will show holes or spaces between lines of filament. You can sometimes fix this by increasing or decreasing the number of walls on the print but not always. Hoping this change might fix that.

Needs some testing and feedback to see if it makes some improvements before changing the other version on the laptop. And when I get a chance I’ll talk to Tinkerine see what they have to say about it.
