Learn to make a wooden ballpoint pen on a lathe. Great for Christmas presents! All required materials and tools will be provided and each participant will take away a completed Slimline twist pen.
Workshop will take place on Sunday, Nov. 30 from 10am to 2pm in my home woodshop in SE Richmond near Steveston Hwy. & #4 Rd. Address will be provided after registration. Due to limited resources (lathes and tools) class is limited to 4 people. Each participant will have their own lathe and tools to use. Cost is $25 per person.
For those who need/want to take transit, I can arrange to pickup participants at Brighouse Skytrain Station on the Canada Line at 9:45am and drop them off after the event.

Steve
There are two seats left for this workshop. If those those two seats are not taken it is unlikely that I will run another pen making workshop before Christmas. If they are taken, then I would be willing to run another workshop prior to Christmas, probably on a weeknight.
The workshop includes all materials and each participant will have their own lathe and tools to use during the class. No need to take turns on the lathes like the last workshop at the VHS!
Transportation to/from the Brighouse Skytrain Station can be provided for those who wish to take transit.

Here are some photos from the last pen making workshop at VHS:
Andrew and Tyson attend the pen making workshop last Sunday in my home woodshop and we had a great time. Here are some photos from the workshop. I would run another workshop before Christmas if I can get 3-4 people to would like to participate. Contact me if you’re interested and let me know if you prefer a weekday evening or weekend. If I can get at least 3 people for a class I’ll schedule the workshop.

Steve, thanks so much! This was a really excellent workshop. It was very well thought out, and it’s got me in pen making mode now. I would highly recommend it to anyone, regardless of skill level.
Thanks again!
