[VHS @ MakerFaire] Call for Volunteers

Hey everyone!

As the discussion about the kits has already come into full effect, the only thing that’s missing is another very important component: YOU!

VHS needs you! To run the information booth, to be an ambassador, to help out at the soldering booth, or maybe even that helping hand to save the day! Aka, we need someone like you!

The dates: Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th of June, 2015
The operating hours: Not details yet, but daytime (probably between 10 and 4).
The work:

  • Running the information booth
  • Running the soldering booth (providing information and/or helping our visitors with soldering)
  • Preparing the soldering kits
  • Help pack
  • Buildup
  • Tear down
  • Help unpack
  • Angels (people who can help with any of last minute arrangements)

I will be posting a form later this week for interested parties to put their available days/times/jobs down.

Seeing as we have actual working 3D printers this year, it might make sense to profile that a bit more. Last year we had a few 3D printed objects scattered around, so at a minimum we could do the same and try to increase the quantity and quality of projects (as in showcase 3D printing beyond the usual Thingiverse dust catchers). We could also have a 3D printer at our booth, perhaps the new Prusa i3 because Tinkerine will be there anyway. Or we could join the 3D printing village being organized by @johnbiehler. Thoughts?
