Honest question, how can he call himself an environmentalist, while running for a party that wants to accelerate the extinction event?

I’m not super confident that the unspecified future conservative climate policy will be any better.

(yes, like most people, I’m a hypocrite when it comes to my own life choices with respect to the climate emergency… That’s why I don’t trust the aggregate of our selfish caveman brains to solve the problem; we need a higher authority to force us into better behaviour patterns)

Peter Krahn sounds awesome! I’m also confused/possibly misinformed about how his views align with the party platform?

Anyone is better than the BC libs who currently hold the seat. Consider voting strategically. If a vote for Krahn causes Wilkinson to lose, I consider that a victory.

He’s running federally, not against the BC Libs, supports pipelines and has some alarmist and inaccurate statements about the federal budget up first on his issues page

Thanks, I stand corrected.

Many have negative views of the conservative party from the Harper Era, Peter Krahn is not Steve Harper.
Peter has a long published history of protecting the environment and the economy. Google “Peter Krahn Environment”, or “Peter Krahn Toxic” or “Peter Krahn Selenium” or “Peter Krahn INTERPOL” and see what comes up.
He was in the forefront of cleanup before the government handed land back to the Squamish Nation (Prime Vancouver real estate a toxic nightmare - The Globe and Mail).

To vote for Peter in North Vancouver you have to sign up at www.conservative.ca (even if just to vote for him) by end of day May 11th so you can vote on June 1, 2019 at the Nomination meeting (in person).

Thank you!

Is he still against gay marriage?

Ah, the Federal Conservatives. Who could forget?

The strategy is always the same.

  • Cut corporate taxes a lot
  • Cut personal taxes a little
  • Cut and defund environmental regulation
  • Scrub historical data so future generations don’t know what they’ve lost
  • Stock market trends up
  • Cut funds for the most vulnerable when the inevitable shortfall hits
  • Socially regressive policies to provide red meat for the socially conservative base
  • Industry pockets the profits
  • Promised jobs fail to manifest
  • Public inherits the superfund sites and environmental contamination

Generously, your man Krahn is greenwashing polluting industries. He’s basically the remora to the Conservative party shark.

Seriously, don’t be a janitor on the Death Star.

My favourite part was when Brian Mulroney took that paper bag of $200,000, then sued the country when we had the audacity to ask questions.
