Tool Donation - Oscillating Multi Tool

Saw this on craigslist going for a good price, picked it up to donate to the space.

It’s a Dremel MM40 Oscillating Multi Tool, and came with a bunch of (worn) blades, a sanding head, and a bunch of the sand paper.

These tools work by travelling a very small amount back and forth at very high speeds, to move the tool.
One nice thing in that the blades are small, and can plunge cut. It seems like it’ll be useful for freeing partially-lasered wood, when the cutting power wasn’t quite enough.

Many of the used tools it came with have a few damaged teeth, check before you use them.

It’s in a black case on the tool shelves at the entrance to the workshop.

Cool! I have seen these and always kinda wanted to try one one day. Thanks Jon!

Oh cool. Yeah I bought a similar one about 9 months ago. Great tool. Small but very versatile. Now wished I had gotten one long ago.

And yes they do very well when trying to cut through that list mm of wood from the laser. I made Tinkerine get one for that very reason. I found it better to use the flat blade over the toothed blade as it vibrates fast enough to do a pretty clean cut but still stay in the laser cut.
