This is a shout out to our friends at Red Gate. You may have already heard they were suddenly hit with a big tax bill based on a development policy. This could have easily have been us (we actually looked at the space they are currently in).
This is a tough spot to be in as a cultural/arts/hacker/maker space of any kind, and especially so in Vancouver where we all know rents are crazy. Surviving as a cultural group is tough for all of us.
