O'Reilly IoT conference Solid 2015

I came across this Internet of Things conference sponsored by O’Reilly. Most of the IoT stuff is pretty over-hyped but this looks interesting. Anyone know anything about it (they held one in 2014), in particular what it costs?

Any suggestions on similar events that are worth going to on my own dime (ie must be super-uber-awesome)?

If you have interest in security, CanSecWest in Vancouver (March 18-20) attracts global attention in the InfoSec community. Not cheap, but in my opinion it has great value. The conference includes some content on hardware/firmware/IoT security aspects.

On a similar note, there’s also the B-Sides Vancouver (March 16-17) un-conference happening in the same week as CanSec West!

Yes, forgot about B-Sides, +1 for it too

There is also, TI Tech Days (Free, Vancouver was a stop in 2013, Redmond was a stop in 2014). AVNet has several workshops in Burnaby throughout the year with vendor specific content from TI, STMicro, Xilinx (Free or low cost when boards are included).

Great, thanks for the tips.
