No Asbestos in the e-waste recycling!

Recently someone put asbestos in the 3-week e-waste bins. This is not cool.

Please do not put asbestos or other hazardous waste in the bins.

The asbestos has been safely removed (thanks to Mark and Vlad for dealing with that).

WHAT CAN GO IN THE EWASTE:

  • Computers - complete or in parts
  • Laptops - complete or in parts
  • LCD’s - Computer or TV
  • Motherboards and accessory cards
  • Computer cables, wires
  • Keyboards & Mice
  • Network Equipment
  • Printers and Scanners
  • Game Consoles
  • Cell Phones
  • UPS - Uninterruptible Power Supplies
  • Home Electronics(Stereos, DVD player etc)
  • Rechargable Batteries
  • CRT Monitors
  • CD & DVDs

NOT ACCEPTED:

  • Old Style TV’s
  • Kitchen Appliances (Microwaves, Coffe Machines etc)
  • Toner and Ink cartridges
  • Photocopiers
  • Smoke Detectors
  • PCB containing light ballasts
  • plastic bags and othe misc. plastic
  • other garbage or recycling
  • asbestos, spent uranium fuel rods, creamed corn or any other hazardous material

I would like to remind people that Christmas Fruitcake is also banned from the 3 week bin.

creamed corn, asbestos and spent uranium fuel rods are all equally
unhealthy. :slight_smile:

I never did like creamed corn, now I know why.
